  • Day 1 MANALI ARRIVAL

    On arrival in Manali check in to Hotel Johnson’s and fresh up. Your guide will be waiting for you at the hotel and you can sit in the garden to discuss the trip ahead. In the evening walk to Manali mall road, Haldembe temple and the Buddhist monastery. Mountain life is buzzing alive at the mall road, malai. Have dinner at one of the many restaurants in town.



  • Day 2 MANALI TO JISPA

    In the early hours of the morning we will start our drive to Jispa, a beautiful little town in the Lahaul district of Himachal Pradesh. Perched on the banks of river Bhaga, Jispa provides the most stunning views of surrounding mountains!

    On reaching, we will check in hotel and spend the day exploring the village around and the little monastery atop the valley.  The calm, quiet and tranquil village with a very small population, offers the most beautiful Zen-like feel.


  • Day 3 JISPA TO LEH

    After breakfast, start early for Leh. This is where the Manali to Leh route gets amazing as well as challenging. This route will take you through the otherworldy landscapes of Baralacha La Pass covered in snow round the year, Tanglangla, Moore Planes, and Upshi.


  • Day 4 LEH LOCAL
  • Day 5 LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY

    Like all the overland drives around Ladakh, this drive will take you through picturesque landscapes, mountain passes, river valleys, and sparse mountain settlements. Through the mighty Khardungla top (Highest motor-able road in the world at 18300 feet above the sea level), drive towards the Indo Pakistan border region of the mesmerising Nubra Valley and enjoy the beauty of Karakoram


  • Day 6 TURTUK EXCURSION

    Wake up to the crisp and pious air of the timeless Balti village. Walk through the ancient village of Turtuk with its buckwheat fields, local craftsmen, red-cheeked kids, and cheerful locals and visit the old royal family house.


  • Day 7 NUBRA VALLEY TO PANGNG LAKE

    Leave early morning for Pangong lake which means “high grassland lake”, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake in the world. Pangong is famed for its colour changing water, from blue to red and green - and it’s beauty cannot be described in words.  


  • Day 8 PANGONG LAKE TO LEH

    After breakfast the guests will drive to Leh via Changla pass. The drive will take you through the Eastern border region of Changthang and is completely inhabited by many wildlife species of Ladakh. You might be lucky to spot a Himalayan Wild Ass, Black Neck Crain, Golden Eagle etc in the region. On reaching Leh check in hotel and after resting for a bit leave for Leh market to collect gifts for friends and family back home.


  • Day 9 LEH DELHI DEPARTURE

    Leave for the airport in time for your onward flight to Delhi/Mumbai/Chandigarh with sweet memories of the trip.

CHANGES TO YOUR ITINERARY

For your best interest, sometimes it might have to make necessary alterations to your holiday itinerary. Where practical, we will advice you before you depart from your hometown, although occasionally we may be forced to make changes en route. We will keep you informed at all times.

MOUNTAIN FLIGHT DELAYS

Bad weather in mountainous regions can cause flight delays. These problems mainly happen in Ladakh region of India. If the delay is extended it may be necessary for us to re-route the trek and tour, perhaps to an area more readily accessed by road transport. We do not accept responsibility for charges incurred as result of flight delays and missing international flight connections. However, we will make every effort to assist you.

INHERENT RISKS OR DANGERS

 You understand and accept that your proposed tour may expose you to levels of physical exertion to which you may not be accustomed to or be exposed to inherent dangers when traveling through remote areas which may be subject to, among other things, unfavourable political, physical, health or climatic conditions. By agreeing to use our services, you accept these dangers and unfavourable conditions.

INSURANCE

 You must purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes a provision for helicopter rescue when you pay your deposit.

YOUR HEALTH AND FITNESS

 We strongly recommend that you visit your doctor and dentist before your holiday. You must ask your doctor about current inoculation requirements. Full details of pre-existing medical conditions must be forwarded to us when you book. Older clients or clients with pre-existing medical conditions may require a letter from your doctor clearing them for the trek and Beyond Himalayas Pvt. Ltd. reserve the right to check these documents prior to confirmation of tours and treks

PASSPORT

A valid passport is required for all tourists. The passports must be valid for minimum of six months from the start of journey, with at least two clean pages per country to be visited.

VISA REQUIREMENTS

A valid visa is required for the entire destination. You should always consult your doctor or nearest travel clinic for the latest information on recommended health precautions, both vaccination and malaria prophylaxis.

 HEALTH AND SAFETY

 GENERAL

 Extensive medical kits are carried on all trips. In addition, medical oxygen and Portable Altitude Chambers are carried as a precaution on high altitude treks and climbing expeditions. All meals on trek are prepared specifically for your group to strict hygiene standards, and sterile washing facilities are provided.

 HIGH ALTITUDE

 Sickness from altitude can affect anyone. Serious problems are avoided by building in rest and acclimatisation. For normal symptoms a drop in altitude, or time in portable acclimatisation chamber, leads to quick recovery.

 All trips are graded. There are Easy, Moderate, Challenging and Mountaineering categories.

 TRAVEL INSURANCE

 Travel insurance that includes helicopter evacuation is highly appreciated

 AGE LIMITS

 Client over sixty are required to complete a medical and personal travel history questionnaire. Persons under sixteen can join specified family departures and private groups.
